Experience the heart of Germany’s festive season as we explore charming medieval towns, twinkling Christmas markets, and stunning landscapes dusted with snow. This 6-day tour offers endless opportunities to capture the beauty and warmth of the holiday season through your lens.

From the illuminated streets of Munich to the quaint villages of Nuremberg and Rothenburg ob der Tauber, you’ll photograph snow-covered castles, historic buildings adorned with festive decorations, and traditional German holiday markets. With expert guidance, you’ll capture the magic of the holiday season, creating photos that showcase the warmth and wonder of Bavarian winter traditions.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Accommodation: 5 nights in carefully selected hotels, including charming Bavarian inns and cozy accommodations close to the Christmas markets.
Transportation: All transport during the tour, including private transfers and scenic drives through Bavaria's picturesque landscapes.
Photography Mentorship: Daily photography sessions with expert photographers to help you capture the essence of Bavarian winter. From market scenes to holiday lights, we’ll guide you in making the most of the unique light and festive atmosphere.
Meals: Daily breakfasts and several traditional Bavarian meals, including hearty local dishes and festive specialties.

International Flights: Flights to and from Germany are not included.
Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is not included but is highly recommended for the duration of the tour.
Personal Expenses: Personal expenses such as souvenirs, additional meals, or personal items are not covered.
Alcoholic Beverages: Alcohol is not included in meals, but may be purchased separately during the tour.
Gratuities: Tips for local guides, drivers, and service providers are not included. A discretionary tip is recommended.
Visa Fees: If applicable, participants should arrange and cover any visa fees for Germany.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Munich

Arrive in Munich and check into your hotel.
Welcome dinner with your fellow photographers, followed by an introduction to the upcoming tour and photography tips for shooting in low light and winter conditions.
Evening walk through the Munich Christmas market to capture the festive lights and bustling atmosphere.

Day 2: Munich – Christmas Markets and Historic Streets

Full day exploring Munich's famous Christmas markets, including the Christkindlmarkt at Marienplatz.
Photograph the beautifully decorated stalls, Christmas trees, and local delicacies such as mulled wine (Glühwein) and gingerbread cookies.
Afternoon photo critique session to review the morning's work.
Evening shoot of the beautiful historic streets, with opportunities to photograph Christmas lights against the backdrop of Munich’s iconic architecture.

Day 3: Nuremberg – A Medieval Christmas

Travel to Nuremberg, home of one of the oldest and most famous Christmas markets in Germany.
Spend the day capturing the medieval architecture, traditional market stalls, and holiday decorations in this enchanting city.
Visit the Nuremberg Castle and photograph its stunning views over the city.
Enjoy a traditional Bavarian dinner in a local restaurant, followed by evening photography of the Nuremberg market illuminated under the stars.

Day 4: Rothenburg ob der Tauber – A Christmas Fairy Tale

Early morning departure for Rothenburg ob der Tauber, one of Bavaria’s most picturesque towns.
Explore the charming streets and medieval architecture of this fairy-tale village, capturing its cobblestone lanes, quaint buildings, and festive decorations.
Afternoon free for personal exploration or additional photography opportunities.
Evening photoshoot at the Christmas market, where you can capture the warmth of the holiday season and the festive spirit in this historic setting.

Day 5: Füssen – Neuschwanstein Castle

Travel to Füssen and visit the iconic Neuschwanstein Castle, one of the most famous castles in the world.
Photograph the castle surrounded by snow-covered landscapes, and capture the breathtaking views of the Bavarian Alps in winter.
Enjoy a scenic walk around the area to photograph the castle from different angles, including from the Marienbrücke bridge for the classic shot.
Evening return to Munich for a farewell dinner and final photo review session.

Day 6: Departure

Morning free for last-minute photos or shopping at the Munich Christmas markets.
Transfer to the airport for your return flight or continue your travels.
