Throughout this 15-day tour, you'll not only capture the stunning beauty of Mongolia's dramatic steppe and mountain landscapes but also experience firsthand the rich cultural heritage of its nomadic tribes. WHAT'S INCLUDED

Accommodation: 14 nights in carefully selected hotels, guesthouses, and traditional yurts, providing a unique and comfortable stay while immersing you in Mongolia’s nomadic culture.
Transportation: All ground transportation is provided, including private 4x4 vehicles for the best access to remote locations. Internal flights between cities are also included where necessary.
Photography Mentorship: Expert instruction on capturing dramatic action shots, cultural portraiture, and sweeping landscapes. Learn how to make the most of natural light and unique settings in a remote and traditional environment.
Meals: All meals are included during the tour, from hearty Mongolian feasts to more intimate meals shared with local families, offering a taste of authentic Mongolian cuisine.

WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED

International Flights: Airfare to and from Ulaanbaatar is not included. Participants are responsible for booking their own flights.
Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is not included but is highly recommended to cover unexpected events, cancellations, and medical needs.
Personal Expenses: Any personal expenses such as souvenirs, additional meals, or personal items outside the listed itinerary are not covered.
Alcoholic Beverages: Alcoholic drinks are not included in the package but may be available for purchase during meals or at social gatherings.

  • Cultural Immersion: Experience the nomadic lifestyle of Mongolia’s Kazakh people as you visit their traditional homes (yurts) and witness their daily routines, from herding livestock to preparing meals and more.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia’s capital, and transfer to your hotel.
Welcome dinner and tour briefing. Get to know your fellow photographers and the tour leaders.

Day 2: Ulaanbaatar – Western Mongolia

Morning flight to Western Mongolia.
Begin your journey into the Altai Mountains, where you’ll stay in traditional yurts.
Afternoon photography session focusing on landscapes and the first opportunities to meet local nomadic families.

Day 3–5: Altai Mountains – Nomadic Life and Wildlife

Explore the Altai Mountains, capturing dramatic vistas, wild horses, and traditional nomadic life.
Spend time with Kazakh eagle hunters, learning about their culture and preparing for the Eagle Festival.
Participate in hands-on photography workshops focusing on portraiture, action shots, and capturing the essence of Mongolian wildlife.

Day 6–7: Eagle Festival

Attend the famous Eagle Festival in the Bayan-Ölgii region, where you’ll witness incredible eagle hunting demonstrations.
Photograph the majestic birds of prey as they swoop down to capture game, as well as the eagle hunters in their traditional clothing.
Capture the fierce competition and festival atmosphere, with opportunities to shoot stunning portraits of the eagle hunters and their falcons.

Day 8–10: Mongolian Steppes – Nomadic Culture

Visit local nomadic families and photograph their way of life.
Experience the traditions of herding, cooking, and daily routines in the vast Mongolian steppe.
Capture the connection between people and their environment, from landscapes to intimate cultural portraits.

Day 11–13: The Altai Mountains and Photography Sessions

Explore more remote regions of the Altai Mountains, offering more opportunities to photograph wildlife, landscapes, and traditional practices.
Focus on capturing the changing landscapes, from wide-open steppe to rugged, snow-capped mountains.

Day 14: Return to Ulaanbaatar

Return to Ulaanbaatar, where you will have time to explore the city.
Enjoy a farewell dinner and share your favorite images and experiences with the group.

Day 15: Departure

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight or onward journey.
